Giving Back to the Communities We Serve
How Aurum Supports Local Organizations Making a Difference
At Aurum Home Technology, we recognize that our success is deeply connected to the strength and well-being of the communities where we live and work. While we focus on creating exceptional smart homes with the latest technology, we also understand the importance of supporting the places that have welcomed us.
Our team proudly partners with three remarkable nonprofits tackling hunger, housing, and health challenges throughout Colorado. These partnerships reflect our commitment to ensuring that technology and innovation contribute to positive change in Denver, Vail, Colorado Springs, and the broader communities we serve.
Fighting Hunger in Our Backyard: Food Bank of the Rockies
Hunger affects families across Colorado, even in our mountain communities where prosperity might seem abundant. Food Bank of the Rockies addresses this challenge as the largest hunger relief organization in the Rocky Mountain region, serving Colorado and Wyoming since 1978.
Operating the largest food bank coverage area in the contiguous United States, they work with over 800 Hunger Relief Partners to distribute enough food daily for 185,000 meals. What impresses us most about their approach mirrors our own values: 96 cents of every dollar goes directly to food distribution, demonstrating the kind of efficient, well-engineered operation we appreciate. From Denver to Vail to Colorado Springs, this organization ensures that our neighbors have access to nutritious food, creating stronger communities where everyone can thrive.
Building Safe Homes Globally: NIVAS
Just as Aurum creates secure, beautiful homes for our clients, NIVAS provides safe housing solutions for vulnerable families around the world. Focusing their efforts in rural Nepal, NIVAS assists extremely vulnerable families, particularly women-led households who have lost homes to earthquakes or other disasters, to build new homes or improve existing ones. Their mission recognizes that good housing is foundational for families, providing a place for sharing ideas, growing love, teaching responsibility, and protecting from harsh elements.
What resonates with us is their holistic approach: beyond construction, they provide skills training and seed capital for new business endeavors, understanding that a safe home enables families to pursue education, health, and opportunity. We feel it’s important to recognize that families everywhere deserve the security that quality housing provides.
Funding Hope for Families: Morgan Adams Foundation
Right here in Denver, the Morgan Adams Foundation tackles one of the most heartbreaking challenges families can face: pediatric cancer. Founded in 2001, this local organization funds critically needed research focused on brain and central nervous system tumors, including conditions like DIPG, which currently has a 0% survival rate. Since inception, they've funded nearly $9 million in research, providing seed grants that help promising ideas take root and grow into breakthrough treatments.
Beyond research, they support families facing financial hardship during their child's treatment, understanding that fighting cancer requires both medical innovation and practical support. Their approach resonates with our philosophy of investing in long-term solutions and supporting people during life's most critical moments. When Colorado families need hope most, the Morgan Adams Foundation provides both cutting-edge research and compassionate care.
Supporting Food Bank of the Rockies, NIVAS, and the Morgan Adams Foundation represent the same thoughtful, long-term approach we bring to every project. Just as we engineer solutions that enhance daily life, we're proud to support organizations that create lasting, positive change for families in need.
